The Birthright Citizenship Question

GDP Conservativism screwed us all at the Supreme Court

Well, it happened. The United States Supreme Court ruled against President Trump that birthright citizenship is the law of the land. Justices John Roberts and Amy Coney Barrett joined the liberals in a 5-4 decision.

I’m not going to sugarcoat it: this ruling is a disaster. What makes it even more of a disaster is that there was no narrowing of the definition of what birthright citizenship actually means. Birthright citizenship is now defined in the broadest possible scope, with no exceptions to “birth tourists” or anything.

This means that even in realms of national security, birthright citizenship takes priority. A terrorist’s wife could give birth in the United States, and her baby would automatically be made a United States citizen.

This also means that a person who was born after their mother hopped the border is just as much of an American as the person whose family has deep roots to the founding of our nation. On paper, that may be the case, but culturally, we have seen that not to be true.

Hasan Piker is the poster child of this ruling. Hasan was born in New Jersey to Turkish parents, then was raised in Turkey and returned to the United States to attend college. Now, Hasan is one of the largest anti-American voices on the political left. With the ruling last week, the Supreme Court has legitimized Piker’s entire existence.

They have also legitimized the existence of all of these anti-American DSA politicians that you see running around wanting to abolish the police, abolish borders, and abolish ICE, most of whom are children of foreigners and benefited from birthright citizenship.

What these people want is a destruction of the American identity because they themselves do not identify with America. They use socialism as a window dressing for their anti-White hatred. By taking wealth from the most productive of society and giving it to the unproductive, they ensure our nation’s failure.

A country cannot survive if it comes under the control of people who are against it. Whether through managed decline or outright malicious destruction, the United States will collapse as birthright Americans from the third world continue to be brought up in a system that they have no intention of respecting.

While I expected John Roberts to rule with the liberals, because he is the kind of conservative who believes in conserving the GDP line above the culture, Barrett was 50/50. Everyone is quick to point out her adopted Haitian children, but they were adopted through a legal channel and wouldn’t be affected by her ruling for the President.

So, she really had no excuse as to why she ruled the way she did, which makes this all the more unforgivable and why you are seeing a harsh reaction towards her.

Unfortunately, Justice Barrett is one of those types of pro-life advocates: loud about their single issue and harsh to anyone who suggests we focus on other issues first, but when that issue was resolved in their favor, quick to pull the ladder up behind them and tell everyone else to screw off. She got her bag, and that is all that matters.

In Barrettland, mass migration and social liberalism is okay, as long as you aren’t aborting your children.

To make matters worse, the majority opinion defined birthright citizenship in the most maximalist of scopes. Whether you are a foreign spy looking to get your foot in the door or a woman who is in labor just passing through the country. It doesn’t matter, any child born is a citizen.

Which just screws over young Americans. Young Americans already know what it is like having to compete with the rest of the world to get ahead in their own country. This ruling just set that struggle in stone. Why should the majority opinion care? They got their bag. They have a job for life and can go home to their big houses in their secure neighborhoods to sleep at night.

They will never have to worry about their job being outsourced to an Indian call center, being replaced by H1B foreign labor, or being replaced with artificial intelligence. In short, the liberals make these rulings because they want these things to happen to you, and conservatives like Roberts and Barrett go along with it because they don’t care.

Well, they should care, because when the DSA types become the majority and they vote in people who will pack the Court, Roberts and Barrett will be astonished. “I allowed you and your children to come in, why are you doing this to me?” and the birthright citizens will laugh and say, “Because you are core to the settler colonial system that is the USA.”

Roberts and Barrett will then look to the young Americans they screwed over for help, and no hands will be held out to them because their treachery is remembered.

It is a shame that the Court majority opinion has reduced being an American to a legal document and not a shared culture. We must be the first country in the world to have our people be so denigrated.

This is mostly the fault of the conservative movement in America being dominated by GDP conservatism and not cultural conservatism. To the GDP conservative, nothing matters but the markets, and what is good for the markets is therefore good for the country. If the current stock of America must be replaced by foreign stock, so be it.

What the GDP conservative didn’t count on, however, is that replacing American stock is actually very destabilizing to the country, GDP line be darned. So, while yes, there might be a short-term boost to the economy and the GDP line will go up, long term it could lead to national collapse as we become a pot of bickering foreign interests.

It also doesn’t help the GDP conservative that their replacement stock is voting against GDP conservatism en masse. For a group of people that wanted to import foreign stock, the foreign stock is not grateful to them and actively votes against the interests of the GDP conservative faction.

Yet that doesn’t stop the GDP conservatives from bringing more in anyway.

The worst part is that the GDP faction has been in the driver’s seat of the American right for most of the late 20^th and early 21^st centuries. The cultural conservatives, nationalists, and other factions of the right were seen as fringe movements until the late 2010s.

What we have seen over the past few decades is a result of bipartisan consensus between third-way neoliberals and right-wing market absolutists where culture takes a backseat and the economy takes the front seat.

This has been a disaster for the country. Free-trade and market absolutists in both parties drew up plans like NAFTA and other deals that outsourced our manufacturing to other countries while at the same time enforcing importing labor to fill the jobs that we do have. The average American got screwed by this consensus.

The bipartisan consensus refused to enforce even the most basic of border laws and allowed loads of people to come over the southern border to work in sweatshops where they would be exempt from American labor laws.

On top of it all, they used the 14^th Amendment to the US Constitution to justify the growth of this foreign labor force, as their children would automatically become citizens once they were born within the US.

And just last Wednesday, the Supreme Court of the United States justified this interpretation of the 14^th, which was for anyone with any historical literacy clearly intended to be for freed slaves who were not considered citizens prior to 1865.

The fact that the majority of the Supreme Court, who are supposed to be our top legal experts, well versed in American history and legal theory, couldn’t get this right (because they didn’t want to) should enrage every American.

Your blood, your soil, none of it matters.

Only the economy and the GDP do.
