I think he’s a nice counterbalance to liberal democracy that we have been brainwashed with in the west. Yeah yeah we get the argument “these people didn’t get caught committing crimes, they are only guilty of being gang members and having tattoos!”

So what? I don’t want to live in a society with gang members and gang tattoos. Why should we tolerate their presence? Because of some kind of ideological liberal democratic principle’s we are supposed to uphold? I prefer not being robbed, raped or killed over maintaining principles.

These corrupt, decadent, western democracies should prepare for the emergence of their own Caesars. He’s coming. It’s inevitable at this point.

We have to live with this because we have convinced ourselves that enforcing the law is racist and ignores sociological reasons for crime. Nevermind the fact that cities ran by these people are absolute hellholes. Yet we are forced to abide by these ideals which have failed time and time again.

What do you know about his personal worldview? Education, philosophy, religion, experience?

I applaud the results. The larger question: can he successfully change the culture which led to the growth of the gang mentality? Can he successfully transition the prison population into productive citizens? Is he willing to execute those who don't? Climbing out of the abyss is no easy task.

I admit, my information on his personal worldview is lacking. However, from how he posts on X, he sees himself as a crossing the Rubicon Caesar-like figure. I also know that he himself is a Christian while his father is an Imam. I also agree that while he has been largely successful, he needs to find ways to make that success permanent. Currently, I worry that without him, El Salvador will suffer a relapse.
